BAFTSS EC Member sought

At the 2020 BAFTSS AGM, there was a vote to agree a change to the BAFTSS constitution, which sees the introduction of a new ordinary member of the subject association’s Executive Committee specially dedicated to the interests of Independent Researchers/ Filmmakers/ Fixed Term Contracts/ Visiting Researchers/ Visiting Lecturers/ Affiliated Staff.

If you are a paid-up member of BAFTSS (post-doctoral, early or mid-career) who is an active researcher/lecturer in the situation outlined above who would like to join the BAFTSS Executive Committee as Ordinary Member for 1-3 years then please submit the following information no later than Friday 26 June 2020.


  1. Name and current status (post-doctoral/ mid-career/ Independent Researchers/ Filmmakers/ Fixed Term Contracts/ Visiting Researchers/ Visiting Lecturers/ Affiliated Staff).

  2. A short paragraph (circa 300 words) outlining your interest and experience relevant to this role on the BAFTSS Executive Committee.

  3. The name and contact details of two members of BAFTSS who support your nomination.
